The Re-Purchased Product: Body Shop Cleansing Butter

I'm not really one for re-purchasing the same product, and tend to try different products all the time. I'm not sure if that's because I don't absolutely love the products that I try, or if it's just the fact I get bored of products very quickly. Either way, it's very unlikely of me to ever buy the same product again.

After hearing so many beauty vloggers on YouTube rave about this cleansing butter, I decided to pop to my local Body Shop and give it a try. When I first used it, I thought it was a really nice product, but wasn't anything special or life changing, and so put it to the back of my bathroom cabinet. It wasn't until about 2 weeks ago, I re-discovered it and I don't know what is different now but I absolutely love it.

I use to be a cleansing water kind of gal and just stuck to my £3 Garnier Cleansing Water but now I firmly believe in spending a bit more money on skincare products as it's very important. It feels like I'm applying a nice massage oil to my skin when using this, and doesn't feel greasy or sticky at all. It's so moisturising that I don't feel the need to moisturise after (but I do anyway lol). You do look like a panda but it's okay, as with a wet muslin cloth or flannel, you just wipe it away and it's all gone!

The only down side I suppose is how quickly I got through this! I'm not sure if that's just me over-cleansing and going a bit overboard, but I've already re-purchased it as I have the tiniest bit left. When I use different cleansers other than this one, I wake up the next morning with two new additions to my face, spots. So that's why I panicked when realising that I didn't have a lot left!

The scent is camomile, so a really fresh and floral scent, which I didn't actually love too much at all when I first smelt it but I'm use to it now! It's £12 from The Body Shop, which may sound quite pricey, especially me as I don't have a job, but it is so worth it! Definitely now that my skin is so use to it!

You can find it HERE.

My Blogging Equipment

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've been feeling un-inspired and haven't really known what to post on this blog. But I have reached 100 BlogLovin' followers which I'm so happy about! It doesn't sound like a crazy amount of people but it still baffles me that 100 people want to read what I write on this blog. So thank you!

I often get the odd question saying "How do you take your pictures?" or "What camera do you use?". So I thought it might come in handy to some of you, maybe who are just starting out blogging and want to know what equipment to use.

Camera
When I first started blogging, I use to get really down about how my blog pictures looked (sad I know) and always wanted an expensive DSLR camera, like the Cannon 600D camera. But I soon realised that you don't need the biggest and most expensive camera to take good quality blog pictures.

I use to take my blog pictures on my iPhone 4S for about 4 months, until I got the Nikon Coolpix L830 for Christmas last year. My friend had this camera and I knew it was a goof quality camera that wasn't too expensive. It's currently £123.19 on Amazon which I think is such a good price for the quality of the pictures it takes. It lets you take pictures in Macro/Close Up mode, so you can get that really clear and bright picture, which is great for taking pictures of makeup.

I like that the screen can tilt, so you can take a picture from up high and still be able to see what your doing, although it doesn't flip to the front so probably not the best camera for filming videos. You can find it HERE.

Lighting
Technically, I can't count this as equipment as I don't use any studio lighting, I use natural lighting. Natural lighting is my equipment? Is that a thing?

I don't feel the need to use studio lighting for my pictures, as I'm quite happy with how they look with natural lighting, and like the effect of taking my blog pictures by my window. The trick is to take a picture away from the light, so the light is shining onto the product instead of behind it. I think this makes the product look my clearer and you're able to see it better.

Tripod
I think a tripod makes such a difference to blog pictures, especially certain ones like outfit pictures of pictures from above. Most of my pictures are taken from above as you get to see the full product, and you don't get any shadows or unnecessary mess in the background of pictures. The tripod I have is one only suitable for my camera. It collapses completely so doesn't mean you have to leave it out all the time, and you can adjust the height so over the top pictures are easy! You can find it HERE.

Backgrounds
I've actually done a blog post on my blog photography backgrounds which you can check out by clicking HERE, but there are a part of my blog equipment and I love how it's so easy to change up the background of your blog pictures without having to re-decorate your room. Magazine pages also look great used as backgrounds, especially when the colour on the page match the product or the theme of the picture!

What do you use to take your blog pictures?

Hope you're well!

5 Great Products Under £10

It's not very often that I find some really good quality products for very cheap. But I've actually found some products that I swear by, which are all £10 or below

I never use to use body butters or moisturisers before, as I never had dry skin and didn't feel the need to (I'm also incredibly lazy with things like that). I got this for my birthday last year and didn't think much about it, until I was rummaging through my draws and found it again. The weather has been really nice recently in the UK (although it's not pouring down with rain) and I wanted to moisturise my skin more as I caught the sun. I used this and was so shocked that I hadn't used this product before because it's amazing. Really moisturising and doesn't leave you feeling sticky or greasy afterwards. It also drys super quick so you don't have to wait like a lemon waiting for it to dry. Boots currently have a 3 for 2 on selected indulging bathing products, and this body butter is in the deal! You can have a look HERE.

I'm pretty sure I've raved about this enough on my blog but it's my holy grail eyeliner. I absolutely love my Soap & Glory SuperCat eyeliner, but as the nib on the pen is quite big, my eyeliner doesn't look natural and can look really thick. So I bought this one as it claimed to have a 'Ultra-thin 0.4mm brush' which is exactly what I needed. It applies so nicely and has just the right amount of support. The colour is really pigmented and allows me to create a nice, natural looking winged eyeliner. Boots also have a 3 for 2 offer on selected Maybeline cosmetics, and this is included! You can have a look HERE.

I've actually done a whole blog post where I talk about these nail varnishes, so if you want to check that out click HERE. But you'll never guess what, Boots have a 3 for 2 on selected Rimmel cosmetics and these are included! You can have a look HERE.

I've had this for quite a long time, when I wanted to experiment with my makeup a bit more and I'm so happy it's in my life! You don't get the 'orange' look or anything like this when you apply it, and it looks so natural used to contour or even to bronze the skin. The highlighter is an added bonus and I absolutely love it. There's no need to carry around a separate bronzer and highlighter, so extra handbag space! I actually think the bronzer is a great dupe for Benefit Hoola Bronzer, as it doesn't have any shimmer in and isn't too orange! This isn't on offer in Boots (sorry to disappoint) but is only £6.49 which is a great price for a good quality bronzer and highlighter! You can have a look HERE.

I'm sure everyone has raved about this product enough, so I'll spare you the ramble, but a great foundation if you're looking for a light/medium coverage and a light consistency so not heavy at all! I don't feel like I'm wearing anything when I have this on! The shade range in my opinion is amazing as they have really light pale colours, I actually have to buy the lightest shade in this range haha! Great for only £6.99! This is included in the 3 for 2 offer on selected Rimmel cosmetics, and you can have a look HERE.

What is you're favourite product that is under £10?

Hope you're having a great day!

How I Take My Blog Pictures

Photography is one of my favourite things ever, specifically beauty photography. I really enjoy adding different props and adjusting the lighting to make my pictures look nicer. It does take quite a long time for me to take a picture that I'm happy with, mainly because I'm fussy with my pictures, but it's so worth it.

Adding props

I think adding props in the background of pictures can make it look so much more exciting and interesting. It's all about personal preference though. I never used to add props to my pictures, and simply took the picture of the product, but when my room got re-decorated and I bought ornaments for my befroom, I started adding them in and was much happier with the outcome of my pictures!

Have a colour scheme

I like to arrange some sort of colour scheme when taking pictures. So if I was taking a picture of a pink lipstick, I will add ornaments in the background that are pink. I've got a fake pink flower that has made quite a few appearances in my blog pictures, pink notebooks and pink nail varnishes. They are so cheap as well, and just adds something more to your blog picture.

Angles

Most of my blog pictures are taken from above, as it gets everything into the frame, and as I have a window next to my desk, the lighting hits perfectly. You have to find experiment with different angles, see what looks best and what does your product justice.

In this picture, I decided it was better to take a picture from this angle instead of above, as the product roles around a lot when it's lying down (annoying I know).

With this picture, I decided to lay the product down as when it was stood up, you could see the reflection of the window on the product due to the shiny packaging. I also thought it looked quite nice with the flowers in the background as they have a hint of green in them, as well as the product *wink wink*.

Camera settings

I'm not too sure about everyone else, but my camera has a 'Close Up' setting (I think it's called macro mode?!) which makes everything look more detailed. For a while, I was taking all of my pictures in 'Soft Focus' and thought to myself "Why does everything look so blurry?" Nice one Kacy.

Something I found when playing about with my camera was the brightness setting. My camera has a button where you can adjust how bright you want to picture, and I love my pictures to look really bright and detailed.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into how I take my blog pictures! Do you have any helpful tips about taking better blog pictures?

Hope you're having a great day!

Spring Jewellery With Born Pretty Store

I was contacted about 5 weeks by the Born Pretty Store, and they asked me if they could send me some pieces of jewellery. I obviously said yes as I absolutely love jewellery, and think it can be a big statement to quite a basic outfit. I was aloud to chose up to 3 items from their website, and after the longest 5 weeks of my life, they finally arrived!

One piece of jewellery the sent me was this Golden Clover Bangle*. It has a clover on, which is something I've not seen before in shops, so it's the reason I was drawn to it so much. I love that it has silver rhinestones on it as well as the bangle being gold, as it means I can wear this with silver and gold jewellery, as appose to it just being with one or the other. The bangle can be done/undone with the loop and the ball, which is easy to manage. Like all of the Born Pretty jewellery, it is very affordable and this bracelet was only $1.99! You wouldn't find jewellery that cheap even in Primark! You can buy it HERE.

The next piece of jewellery is this Infinity Shape Silver Ring*. Most of my rings are golden, and are just a cheap 3 pack from Primark that I've had for ages. So I thought I'd choose a silver ring this time and I really love this one! It's not too big or bulky, and just makes a nice touch to any outfit. I've been wearing this everyday since I received it and is definitely a firm favourite in my ring collection. You can buy it HERE.

And the last item I received is this Swan Shaped Necklace*. The pearls on the swan are a different colour in different lights, meaning it will go with pretty much any outfit! Again, it has gold and silver detailing, so all 3 of these pieces would look amazing together. I hadn't seen anything like this is any other shops, and my face looked like the heart eyes emoji when I saw this on the website. The length of the necklace is quite unusual, and I don't own any like this. The length is inbewteen the longer chains you usually see and one that sits on your chest, so it sits just under neath your chest which I really like as it's different. This is definitely my favourite piece that I was sent! You can buy it HERE.

Have you looked at the Born Pretty Store before? Also, I'm so close to 100 BlogLovin' followers, can I hit it soon?

Hope you're having a lovely week!

Top 5 Spring/Summer Lippys

In the spring/summer, I tend to stick with the light pinks as it's the safe option. You can't really go wrong with a nude-pink lipstick. I like how pink lipsticks pretty much go with any makeup look and they look like a 'your lips but better' colour.

Christian Breton Paris Lipgloss in Natural - £14.99

I picked this up in TkMaxx a while ago, not hearing anything about the brand previously. It just looked like a luxurious product and I didn't own anything like this. I forgot all about this and just put it at the back of my draw hidden amongst all of my other lip glosses, and rediscovered it about 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure why I didn't try it sooner because it's amazing?! Not a sticky or gloopy formula, applies really nicely and leaves a nice sheen to the lips. It has tiny flexes of shimmer in, which I think looks so nice with any makeup look as it goes with everything. It smells like coconuts too! Buy it HERE.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 16

This has featured a lot on my blog, but I can't help but love it. Again, this is a lipstick that goes with pretty much any makeup look, and is such a great colour for spring/summer. This is more of a brighter pink, and edges towards a coral colour slightly, but I've never had a lipstick like this before. I actually don't think they sell this in Boots or SuperDrug anymore, so if you can get your hands, I strongly suggest you do!

Maybeline Baby Lips in Pink Punch

This is more of a subtle pink colour, and is something I like to wear when I'm only sitting in the garden or popping to the shops. This is a tinted lip balm, so it keeps your lips moisturised whilst giving your lips a bit of colour. Like the lippys I've mentioned, this goes with every makeup look and is great for only £2.99. Baby Lips have always been my favourite kind of lip balm to wear, and I love all of the different colours and flavours you can chose from.
Buy it HERE.

Tanya Burr Ligloss in Afternoon Tea

Everyone has probably heard about Tanya's lipglosses as they've been raved about a lot, and I completely understand why. The consistency isn't sticky which is what I always look for when trying out lipglosses. If you're looking for a more pigmented lipgloss, this is definitely the one to get! I haven't felt the need to touch up my lipgloss during the day whilst wearing this, and just an added bonus, it smells amazing too! This would look amazing with a day or night time makeup look, as it's a pigmented lipgloss but is a nice sublt colour. Buy it HERE.

Burberry Kisses Lipstick in Nude Pink

I've already done a full review of this lipstick on my blog, which you can read about by clicking HERE.

What's your favourite spring/summer lippy?

Hope you're enjoying the sun!

How To Style Ipanema Flip Flops

Flip flops are my favourite, they are stylish yet comfortable at the same time! Ever since mentioning Ipanema in my April Wishlist, I thought it would be fun to share how I would style some of my favourite Ipanema flip flops with some items of clothing mentioned in my wishlist!

What I like about Ipanema is that they have such a wide range of flip flops/sandals, all of which are different colours and styles. There are so much more than your average £2 pair from Primark and they look like such good quality. Ipanema products are all made from 100% recycled PVC, which is material that can be recycled again and again, which is all well!

Ipanema Festival Sandal (Click HERE to see them on the Ipanema website) - £20.00 Sunglasses - £1.00 Bag - £49.00 Skater Dress - £14.99

I think these sandals really pull the look together and give it that festival vibe, which I think is going to be big this summer.

Ipanema Bicycle Flip Flops (Click HERE to see them on the Ipanema website) - £20.00 Pink Swing Vest - £6.00 Pink Lipstick - £8.00 Blue Crochet Shorts - £9.99 Pastel Bracelet - £6.99

I love blue and pink together! They are such summery colours, and with the flip flops (which are the most adorable things ever) I think this is a really nice outfit.

Ipanema Vitraux Sandal (Click HERE to see them on the Ipanema website)- £30.00 White Shirt - £17.99 Skinny Jeans - £15.00 Layered Necklace - £14.00 Watch - £30.00 Pink Blazer - £27.99

This is such a versatile look, as I think it can be worn during the day and in the evening, say going out for a meal. I love how the Ipanema sandals have a hint of pastel pink in, which ties in nicely with the pink blazer.

I personally would spend more money on a pair of shoes, as they last so much longer and don't end up falling to pieces! I also think it's so much easier to buy one, strong and durable pair then having to keep spending money on multiple pairs. Compared to places like Zara and Miss Selfridge, I think Ipanema's prices are a lot more reasonable, as they are good quality yet still affordable.

The fact that these sandals can be worn with pretty much any outfit is why I love them so much. It means you don't have to worry about buying another pair of shoes to go with different outfits, you can simply through on a pair of these and be done with!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Do you love sandals as much as I do?

Hope you're having a good week!

April Wishlist

It's time for the post that consists of me crying over the fact I have no money and can't afford these things. *sobs*. But I'm going to save up and try to purchase at least one of these things.  (It will never happen).

1.) I always just seem to pair my outfit with my coat or my leather jacket, but this spring I wanted to be a bit more adventurous and actually wear something colourful, so I've picked this pastel pink blazer. I think this would look so nice paired with a plain white tee and light blue jeans, or even on a night out over a dress. This one is from New Look and you can find it here.

2.) I don't wear shorts enough, and when I do, it's the same pair of denim shorts that I've had for years. I'm not a fan of tight fitted shorts, so when I saw these I fell in love. I think these shorts would be the statement of the outfit, and think would look lovely paired with a plain white, black or blue vest with tan colour sandals. The crochet is my favourite part of these shorts as I love crochet a lot, I think it looks really pretty. These shorts are from Select and you can find them here.

3.) Dresses are also something I don't wear enough but it's my aim for this spring/summer to wear them more. I quite like skater/swing dresses as I think they suit my figure more, so this is one is perfect. I love the daisy pattern on it, and with a pair of gladiator shoes it will look great. This is from New Look and you can find it here.

4.) I've seen lots of people wear floppy hats recently. They were quite a big thing in autumn/winter but I think they will be big in spring/summer too, especially the straw ones. I think this hat will look lovely with the daisy swing dress and look quite festival-y (yep, that's a thing). This hat is from BooHoo and you can find it here.

5.) I'm in desperate need of some spring/summer footwear, as I'm still wearing my Chelsea boots from winter haha! I stumbled across the Ipanema website and browsed at their shoes and fell in love. They are so much more than just you're standard flip flop, they have so many different variations and colours which is why I was so attracted to them. My favourite pair was these white and pink bowed ones. These look more like sandals, and I've not seen anything like these before. If I buy these, I was thinking of pairing them with a white skater dress I bought recently, as I think the pink in the flip flops would really stand out and be the statement of the whole look. I also think these would love great with a pair of denim shorts and a loose-fitted top. They'd look so nice if you were spending the day at the beach or on a really sunny day, and now it's starting to get sunnier in the UK, these are definitely something I'm thinking of purchasing. These are from Ipanema and you can find them here.

My Money Saving Tips

(Not even joking, that is literally how much money I have ^ ). It's quite hard to run a beauty blog when there's tons of new product launches and you don't have the money to get them, but there are a few things I've been doing recently to try and save my money. They may be small things but they really work!

Save any lose change floating about
This one takes some time before you have enough to buy something else, but it's definitely worth it. Whenever I get any lose change, I always throw it at the bottom of my bag or even throw it away, but once I started saving them, I managed to collect £8 worth, which I was able to buy mascara with! It took me about 2 months to collect £8, which does seem like a long time but it's definitely worth it.

Sign up for point/advantage cards
You know them ones where you can collect points, which turn into money off to spend in store? Them. I sign up to them all the time! Especially shops that I go in quite often. It does take some time to collect enough points to buy something reasonable but it's all worth it in the end when you're able to buy a lipstick for free! You can also save your points to get money off your order, once you've earned 100 points, that's £1 to spend in store or to take off your order!

Look for alternatives
Everyone may be raving about a new product launch, but think to yourself, do you really need it? There are so many drugstore dupes and cheaper alternatives to some expensive, high end makeup products. You might even find that you prefer the cheaper option!

What are your money saving tips?

Hope you're well!

Drugstore Eyeliners To Perfect Your Winged Eyeliner

No matter how hard I try to achieve the perfect winged eyeliner, I seem to always fail. I'm not sure if it's the eyeliner or me (definitely, 100% me). These eyeliners shown here are some that have helped me almost accomplish 'eyeliner goals' and can now say my eyeliner looks A LOT better than it did when I was 14...

Soap&Glory SuperCat Eyeliner - The one for quite a thick and precise eyeliner look. This is one that I had to get use to as it is thicker than other eyeliner pens I've tried before, but looks amazing once perfected! If you're looking for a very dark eyeliner, that actually comes out black (as you know, some claim they are black and actually are grey) then this is the one for you. I like to apply this closely to my lash line and use a different eyeliner for the flicks. SuperCat eyeliner gives lots of support and doesn't bend as much once it's being applied. You can look at it by clicking HERE.

Maybeline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner - The one for a thin and subtle eyeliner look. This eyeliner isn't as dark as the Soap&Glory one, but is a lot thinner, so it allows you to create a nice and neat cat eye without being too thick. The only thing is, is that the brush doesn't give a lot of support, so probably not best for applying it to your lash line, but I suppose it's what you prefer. I like that I can get right into the inner corners of my eye with this eyeliner as the nib is so thin! You can look at it by clicking HERE.

Rimmel London Soft Kohl Eye Pencil - The one for intensifying your eyeliner look. This isn't really for my winged eyeliner, but I thought I'd mention it as I really enjoy adding this to my lower water line to make my eyes look more smokey. This one in particular is a very pigmented eye pencil that applies really nicely. You can look at it by clicking HERE.

What are your favourite eyeliners?

Hope you have a great Easter!

Review: Burberry Kisses Lipstick With Swatches

So recently Burberry were allowing twitter users to nominate others to try their new Burberry Kisses lipstick. I was kindly nominated, so signed up for a free sample and it arrived yesterday! Understandably, it is quite a small lipstick as it's a sample, but it's free so you can't go wrong!

There was a choice of 4 colours, ranging from pinks to reds. I decided to chose the colour Rose Blush, but unfortunately they didn't have any of them left, so instead sent me the shade 'Nude Pink' which I'm suprinsingly happy about as I feel like this is the first lipstick I've tried that really suits me! I have the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 16, which is a gorgeous shade and very similar to this shade, but it doesn't suit me as much as this one does. I think it's because it is more nude than pink.

It applies so smoothly due to it's creamy texture, it almost feels like a lip balm! I like that it's quite sheer and isn't too bright or pigmented, so quite a nice colour for the day time or with a smokey eye. Spring is the time when I stop wearing a darker red lippy, and change it for a bright pink/peachy shade, so I know this is something I will be wearing throughout the spring/summer (or however long it will last me!). I did have to re-apply once during the day, but I usually have to with my other lipsticks.

I definitely think I'm going to purchase the full-sized version once this one has gone! I think the free sample nomination campaign is still going on, so nominate a friend and you may get one in return!  Otherwise, if you are interested in looking at the full-sized versions of Burberry Kisses, click HERE.

Have you tried Burberry Kisses before? Are you planning too?

Hope you have a lovely week!

The Spot Fighting Face Mask

My skin has been quite troublesome recently. Not 'quite' actually, REALLY troublesome. I've been on the hunt for a detoxing mask, one that is really going to cleanse my skin and to unclog my pores. I've seen quite a few reviews of this face mask, which is the Super Facialist By Una Brennan Anti Blemish Clay Mask. All of the reviews I have read where very positive, and every one was raving about how good this face mask is. So, I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and try it myself.

It's a mix between a light and heavy consistency, which works perfectly for me and a little bit of this goes a long way. Once it's applied, it does start to tingle a bit. I've never experienced this before, so when it started tingling, I thought I had a reaction to it! But it was fine, as it does stop tingling quite quickly. You're meant to leave it on for 5 minutes and then rinse with warm water. This is to maximise the hydrating benefits, and to properly unclog pores. It was very easy to come off, I didn't feel the need to scrub it off, and my skin felt SO SMOOTH after. Not like some face masks that leave your skin feeling tight and dry.

After using this, I noticed that most of my spots had come out even more, but I soon realised that it's meant to that, as it's lifting your spots. With continued use, my skin was visibly clearer and my spots where gone! I only apply this twice a week, which is the recommended amount of times on the back of the tube.

I recommend you giving this ago and seeing the results for yourself! You can buy this product by clicking HERE.

Have you tried this before? What face masks do you recommend?

Hope you're well!

How I Edit My Blog Photos

I really enjoy taking pictures for my blog, and since getting a new camera, I enjoy 10x more. Sometimes though, I don't like the quality of the pictures I take, and feel like the could do with a bit of something extra.

I think the key to a good blog picture is it being big and bright, and if my camera can't do that for me then I like to enhance my pictures a bit more on editing websites. A website myself and a lot of other people swear by is PicMonkey. It's allows you to add filters, frames, text and effects at no cost. So if my photo isn't looking its best, this is the website I love to use.

Upping the brightness and adding highlights to a picture can make such a difference to a picture, and really improves the quality of it. I only up the brightness a tiny bit, and add a bit of shadow to the picture and I really like how it looks.

After I'm happy with the way my picture looks, I then re-size it. People really enjoy large pictures on blogs so that they can see things better. I like to re-size my pictures to 750 x 563 as it doesn't overlap anything else on my blog, but it all depends on the width of your blog.

There may not be a massive difference in the pictures but I think it looks better once it's been brightened!

There are so many things you can do to your pictures on PicMonkey, definitely worth a try!

What editing software do you use? Have you use PicMonkey before?

Hope you're well!

NEW IN - Rimmel Rita Ora Nail Varnish Spring Collection

It's spring! Which means sunny days, flowers and bright colours. I do find it quite hard in the spring, as my clothes are all quite basic and dark, but I love bright coloured nail varnish. I was quite excited to see that Rita Ora has bought out a spring collection of nail varnishes with Rimmel, and was amazed at just how pretty the colours were. They had an offer on in SuperDrug which was buy 1 get 1 half price. So I decided to pick up two of my favourite colours.

The brush is quite wide, but I like that as it only takes 2 strokes until my entire nail was painted. In terms of the formulation, it's not sticky or thick and it glides on really nicely. I haven't had any problems with it being streaky which is why I like it so much. All together, there are 12 different shades in the collection, ranging from pastel colours to more vibrant colours.

I went for a mint green/turquoise colour, which is quite a muted colour with just one coat but brighter with two. This would look great with a simple, plain outfit just to add a subtle pop of colour.

The other nail varnish I picked up was a pastel purple colour which I think is my favourite. This is a really subtle one but looks really pretty on my nails.

They only cost £2.99 which is a very affordable price, and I will definitely be picking up some more colours from the collection.

You can find them HERE.

Hope you're having a great week!

Drugstore Make Up Starter Kit

Not everyone can afford high-end make up, and some drugstore products are just as good, if not better, than some more pricey make up bits. When I first started wearing makeup, I had absolutely no idea what to buy or where to put it. It's quite common for some younger girls to feel insecure, and feel the need to wear makeup because maybe their friends are. I was definitely like this as a kid. But I think makeup should be worn for fun, and not as a cover up, and not something to hide behind. The products I mention here aren't the things you NEED to get, you don't need everything I talk about. It's just a fun thing to have.

I don't mention a lot of products, as I think if you are just starting out, then it's fun to experiment with just a few things.

Base

For the base, I have a foundation, concealer, blusher and a powder. Of course, you don't need to buy all of these products. I sometimes only like to wear concealer, and some days I like to wear foundation and concealer. I good foundation for if you're just starting out is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. It's very light on your skin and isn't cakey at all. A nice medium coverage, which is also buildable, and makes your skin look really healthy. I think it's quite important to test the foundation on your jaw line before you buy it, as you want it to match your skin tone. This foundation is £6.99, but I sometimes see it on offer for £5 which I think is a great affordable price. All in all, a great foundation.

Concealer wise, I like to use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. Such an amazing concealer for it's very affordable price of £4.19! This concealer is high coverage, so will cover any blemishes and redness you may have. I quite like to wear just this on days where I'm only popping out somewhere, or if I feel like I'm having a good skin day. It comes in various shades and isn't cakey on my skin.

For powder, the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is my holy grail powder. One of the best powders I have tried before. I like to get the translucent one, so I don't have to worry about it adding colour to my skin. I don't powder all over my face, usually just in my t-zone as that's wear my skin is quite oily. This is a staple in my makeup bag and for only £3.99, you can't go wrong!

If you're looking to inject a bit of colour into your skin, then I think a blusher is a really subtle but nice way of doing it. I love the Sleek Blusher's as they are very pigmented, meaning it's going to last you a long time! The packaging is quite compact, so will fit in your makeup bag really nicely. I like to use the shade Pixie Pink, as I think it looks nice all year round, Only £4.49.

Eyes

I like to keep my eyes quite simple, and apply just a dusting of eye shadow, a thin line of eyeliner and a bit of mascara.

A really affordable eye shadow palette that I have used everyday since I bought it is the MUA Matte Eye Shadow Palette. It comes with 10 warm shades, which are great for an everyday look and an evening look. I like that they are matte too, as you can use them to fill in your brows too, only if you need to of course! This palette is only £4 which I think is amazing for 10 different eye shadow shades.

With eyeliner, there's the option of pencil, liquid and gel eyeliner. I like to use liquid as I think you can get a more precise and thin line which looks quite good. The eyeliner I like to use is the Soap & Glory SuperCat Eyeliner. This is also a holy grail product and I would be so lost without it! It doesn't come out sheer or a slight off grey colour, which is why I love it so much. As it's a pen shaped eyeliner with a fine nib, you can create a really nice and thin line, and is also great for a winged eyeliner. Only £6!

I'm really not to fussy with mascara. I've used a mixture of high end and drugstore mascaras in the past and they have both been the same. Although, some that I have used in the past do sometimes make my lashes look a bit clumpy. The mascara I like to use is the Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara. It's so affordable, makes my lashes look natural and doesn't make them clumpy at all. A great mascara for only £4.99.

Lips

I love the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 16 as a nice pinky colour. I think it looks great in the spring and summer time, as a 'your lips but better' colour. A very moisturising lipstick and also very pigmented. I think it's a great lipstick for if you're just starting out, and it's only £5.49 which is a bonus!

What's your favourite drugstore finds? Do you prefer high end makeup?

Hope you're having a lovely week!

Spring Eye Make Up Favourites

Spring is my favourite time of the year. It's the right balance between hot and cold, which is great because I hate both haha! Spring is the time where I like to change up my make up a bit, experiment with my eye make up, which is something I definitely need to do more of! I was getting a bit bored of doing the same thing to my eyes every day, so decided to change it up a bit.

I feel like pink eyeshadow looks really nice in the spring time, especially shimmery eye shadows. Also, I really like brown as well, because as the weather is getting warmer, I like my make up to look quite warm as well.

The Maybeline 24hr Colour Tattoo's have been out for a while, and I went crazy when they first came out, left them for a bit and rediscovered them a week ago. These are the best cream eye shadows I have tried before. They are so long lasting and don't feel wet or sticky.

I like to apply the Pink Gold shade all over my eyelid. With these, I apply them with my finger as for me personally, they don't go on well with a brush. I then apply On and on Bronze into the outer corner of my eye, just to warm up the eye look. I would have taken a picture of my eye make up but I wasn't happy with how the picture turned out haha!

I like to finish of the look with some thin winged eyeliner and a few coats of mascara.

You can find the link to these products here.

Have you tried these before? What's your favourite eye products for the spring?

Hope you're well

How To Run A Beauty Blog On A Budget

I'm a jobless teenager with about 80p to my name. It can be quite hard to blog when you have little money, so I thought as I am definitely on a budget that I would do some little tips that might help a few of you that don't have a lot of money.

Nothing to post about?

You might feel like you need to buy new make up to write a blog post, but that isn't always the case. I often rumage through my make up bag and try to find some inspiration. Here's a few blog post ideas without having to buy new make up:

Seasonal Make Up Look (Autumn, Spring etc.)
What Make Up I'd Pair With A Red Lipstick (or any lipstick of your choice)
(A certain product, like bronzer etc.) That I've Been Loving This Month
Every Day Make Up
Make Up Look I've Been Loving Recently
Current Eye Make Up
What Is My Face Worth? (Add the price of the make up you use everyday)
Product Empties
Products I Will/Will Not Buy Again
(A celebrity of your choice) Inspired Make Up Look
Make Up I'd Wear To (party, day with friends, school etc.)

Free Samples?

There's a website that I found quite recently called Latest Free Stuff that allows you to get free samples and also enter giveaways where you get the chance to win some beauty products. I've managed to get some free beauty products sent to me as a free sample, such as hair oils etc. It's great because if you enjoy the products that you are sent, you can blog about them and write about what you thought of the product.

Giveaways?

Enter a few giveaways that some other bloggers are hosting. You have a chance to win some amazing prizes, which you could potentially blog about if you love the products! I'm actually hosting a giveaway at the moment as I hit 50 followers on BlogLovin'. The link to that is here.

I hope these tips helped some of you! Let me know if they did and if you have any other tips!

Hope you're having a nice week!

NO HEAT Overnight Curls

For someone who uses heat on their hair every day, I've been trying to find ways of styling my hair without using heat. My hair is quite damaged and I want my hair to look a bit healthier than it currently does. I've found a way of getting beachy waves without having to actually curl my hair. I don't have a name for it, but feel free to leave a few suggestions in the comments.

This is best to do once you've washed your hair at night, as the hairstyle (which I'm about to show) drys in that position, which gives you curly hair. It's great because you don't have to worry about spending hours in the morning curling your hair. I split my hair into 2 sections straight down the middle.

I then twisted my hair away from my face. I feel like this opens your face up a bit more.

Once I have twisted my hair, I secured it with an elastic, just so it doesn't fall out as I do the same on the other side.

I then put both of the twisted sides into the middle and secured them with a hair tie. I then went down a bit further down towards the ends of my hair and did the same.

This wasn't uncomfortable to sleep in at all. I suppose you could do the same but behind your head instead of at the front, but I feel like this is an easier way to do it.

When I woke up and took my hair out of the hair ties, this is what my hair looked like!

This is great if you always seem to run a bit late in the morning, like I usually do!

Let me know what you think, and if you're planning to do it yourself!

Hope you're having a good week!
